Expert Witness Services
Independent, objective surveying evidence for property, construction and land disputes.
ABOUT OUR SERVICE
Evidence That Assists the Court.
When a dispute depends on technical evidence, the quality of the expert report can shape the outcome. Pariter's expert witnesses provide clear, well-reasoned opinions on building, land and valuation matters, prepared in line with RICS professional standards and the duties owed to the court or tribunal.
Our role is to assist the court, not to advocate for either party. We review the evidence, inspect the property, and set out our findings in plain English so that judges, tribunal members, solicitors and clients can understand the technical issues clearly.

FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions.
What does an expert witness do?
An expert witness gives an independent technical opinion to help a court or tribunal understand issues outside its own knowledge.
Who can instruct an expert witness?
Instructions usually come from solicitors, but we also accept instructions from individuals and organisations, including as a single joint expert appointed by both parties.
Can you help before proceedings start?
Yes. We can provide early advisory reports to help clients understand the strength of their position before deciding whether to proceed.
How long does a report take?
Timescales depend on the complexity of the matter and any court deadlines. We will confirm a realistic timetable when we receive your instructions.
